The sound of metal clashing against the other vibrated against the air, drummed loudly through the awed silence of the croud as the two fought; human against Kizok. A stupid match that everyone knew the outcome of. The pale blue man moved gracefully in his steps, dancing in his concentrated attacks. Now, how the match had began was an entirely different story. The human, cocky and so sure of himself, had verbally went off on a man many feared. Yet it did not seem this human scum knew his name. Anger danced in flames behind the man's dangerous obsidian eyes. He looked young, but those who knew him knew that he was not. He was probably the oldest creature to walk among the lot of dirty creatures he passed in the street; mainly humans. Oh how he loathed those dispicable creatures.
The human had went off on him, batted words like no other human he'd come across. Slinging them with out really knowing what he was getting himself into. Laughing in a taunt that had no effect against the man he was now battling. A smirk tauntalized across the human's features, but it played no role on the rather boyish looking man. Perhaps it was the fact he looked younger than he really was. Perhaps it was that the human had never met a Kizok before. A simpleton and a fool. It only made it worse that he was born a human.
"You move around like a bitch you know that?" The human male cackled as he swayed about on his feet his hand so relaxed on his own weapon. A disgraceful and disgusting creature that he had to bother himself with. Silence seemed to cloak the on-lookers, keeping them silent in fear of how the blue-ish gray man might react.
Not even a twitch of irritation touched the perfected emotionless gaze the Kizok gave the human. His movements were rather slow, for those who knew just how the Kizok fought. He moved sluggishly, lazily, yet even this pathetic mortal of useless flesh couldn't even so much as come close to burying a blade against his skin. "Do you fight with your words and play with your toys?" He countered calmly. Almost instantly the man grew red with anger, obviously not liking the words from the oddly colored man.
With a cry of sudden rage the man flung himself at the Kizok and the entire croud seemed to tense. Before anyone knew what had happened the human went flying towards a structure, slammed through it and into a building making it crumble right on top of him. The man scoffed as he rotated his shoulder as if to get a crick out of it. "Pathetic little mongral..." he mumbled to himself as he turned and walked away from the arena so another pair of fighters could beef out their own problems or win themselves some money.

Rendalia laid on her stomach on the tree branch, watching the goings on in the arena so many feet beneath her. She stroked the tip of her nose as she watched the men below circling each other, waiting for one to strike, and initialize the fight. The human man looked enraged, arrogant, but slightly terrified of the creature he was up against. The Kizok on the other hand, showed no emotion. At one point, Rendalia thought she might have seen a glint of fury in his eyes, but then again, it may have just been the sun playing tricks on her.
She held her breath as the human, distraught by the words the Kizok had thrown at him, ran at the blue man, throwing all of his force into that first attack. The Kizok appeared amused, and slightly disgruntled, as he hurled the poor human into a building, which in turn collapsed around him. And then he did something Rendalia hadn't expected... with no more than 3 words, he turned, and walked away. He acknowledged no one but the man he had fought.
Intrigued by his behavior, Rendalia lifted herself to a sitting position, and began climbing down the tree, swaying her body with the movement of the breeze, and allowing herself to float down, from branch to branch, until her bare feet felt the warm grass. Briskly and silently she trotted after the Kizok man, wishing to strike up a simple conversation and amuse herself for the next few minutes at least. She followed him out of the arena, staying about 20 feet behind him for a while... just to see if he knew she was there. She could still hear jeering, yells, laughter, and metal echoing from the tournament grounds. Strands of hair whipped at her face in the breeze of the warm afternoon. She knew the man would lead her into Kizok territory, but she had no way of knowing exactly where he would go. Rendalia smiled to herself as she thought about all the fascinating things she would see there, as it was a place she ventured to very rarely.

A finger twitched as the first signs of irritation glittered behind the Kizok's eyes. He hadn't gotten far before the feeling of being followed tingled at his senses. It almost made him chuckle how pathetic they were trying to stalk him. It was plainly obvious; to the Kizok anyway. He was sure no stupid human would be able to even so much as understand the odd feeling that arose with being followed. Though, he cast it aside and continued his way. He would see just how long this...lotukin would follow him. The scent was plainly obvious to him.
Minutes ticked by seemingly dragging on forever as the Kizok made his way slowly through the Tournament Grounds. For a place such as that it was rather large. Small arenas circled around the larger one, beating out those who would do no good in the actual tournament and finding those who may make others a hefty amount of money on betting.
All of it Kaizun seemed to ignore, no longer caring for the things around him. What he was curious about, was the Lotukin who still followed him. What was their reason? A flower loving breed who frowned upon the fighting that went on here. Finally the Kizok prince pulled to a stop as a frown marred his once emotionless facade. "You follow one who may just end your life...Lotukin," He growled just loud enough for the one following to hear, "What is your business with me," Finally he looked over his shoulder, trying to see just where exactly the Lotukin was at.

Rendalia followed the Kizok for a few short minutes that ticked by all too quickly. Everything about him made her senses perk: the way he walked, the way he seemed completely unaware of her presence some distance behind him. She was preparing to pick up her pace and ease herself a bit closer when the blue fellow came to an abrupt stop. Rendalia mimicked his action, stopping almost as abruptly. Her ears perked when he spoke... his voice made her very skin tingle with excitement. How fascinating he was!
"You follow one who may just end your life... Lotukin," he said. His voice was tainted with... what was it? Annoyance? Disgust? Rendalia wasn't sure, but it made her hesitate, but only for a moment, then she lifted her foot to take a step closer. He spoke again, mid step, and she paused once more. "What is your business with me?" he asked? or was it demanded? She was too intrigued to notice the harsh tint to his voice. She forced her foot to meet the grass and dared another 3 steps as he turned his head slightly to look at her from the corner of his eye.
"I was just a bit curious..." she said simply, trotting toward him, something of a skip in her step. She was rarely this close to a member of the Kizok breed. The blood in her veins seemed to be heating spectacularly as she edged nearer to the blue man... was it silver? She wasn't sure. Perhaps it depended on the sun. She made a mental note to ask soon. She closed the gap between herself and this boy, finally stopping herself a mere 4 feet from where he stood, his back still to her.
"I wondered," she began, "What is it that drove you to the fight i've just seen? Well... I actually wonder much more than that. I have a lot of questions. But maybe it would be best if i didn't flood them over you just yet. I suppose i should pick one to start with..." Rendalia searched through her head for a moment, picking through the curiosity that overwhelmed her. She stroked the end of her nose for a second, pondering what question would be the most important. Finally she chose: "What's your name?" she asked.

Curious? Leave it to a damned Lotukin to just skip up to him like that. Kaizun felt like sighing heavily, but he refrained from doing so and kept his stoic mask in place. So this female was intrigued by him was she? What exactly intrigued her about him? It intrigued Kaizun he had to admit for not many Lotukin's dared to even so much as glance at him. As she went on babbling about something or rather about her curiosity Kaizun felt the need to roll his eyes; he could care less.
A delicate brow lifted as she asked why he had fought the human. That was a very good question indeed. Why had he bothered his time to beat the hell out of a useless piece of trash such as that? Perhaps it was the very aspect of just beating a human senseless with out getting in trouble for it. Or was it that he wanted to teach the human a delicate lesson he should never forget? His answer to that was a simple shrug of his shoulders as he looked away from her, "My name is Kaizun," He moved to begin walking towards his homeland again. If this Lotukin insisted on following him and bothering him with questions then so be it; he could live with it.
"And what, by chance, is yours? Little Lotukin?" He shot her own question back at her. If she wanted to talk with him then she had to give him her name, unless of course she wanted him to keep calling her lotukin or little Lotukin.

Rendalia was so wrapped up in her own thoughts, she hardly noticed the bored expression that had etched its way onto the Kizok's face. After a pause that seemed a lifetime he answered, "My name is Kaizun." That was an interesting name. It seemed strong... sturdy. The very name made him seem important. Her mother had always said that names are part of what makes us who we are. Kaizun. This man was not just another Kizok. He was a Kaizun.
She was suprised and somewhat hurt when he abruptly turned and continued in the direction he had been going. Rendalia was debating whether or not to follow, when he spoke again, his voice drifting back to her with the breeze. "And what, by chance, is yours? Little Lotukin?" Her heart beat just a hair faster at the obvious invitation to continue on the same path he was heading. She skipped to his side more than willingly, taking 3 strides to match one of his.
"I'm Rendalia! Kaizun... how old are you then? That's my next question, if it's not too bold. I know some wouldn't like being asked for their age. They may take it as an insult. I hope you dont. I dont wish to insult you at all, or call you old. You dont seem old to me. Actually you could be quite young. But you look wise, I see it in your eyes when you speak. Do you know a lot of things? I bet you do. What kind of things? Hey! You didn't answer my other question! Why were you fighting that man? He didn't seem to pose a threat, he was just a human wasn't he?"
She paused to breathe and give him the chance to answer. Never had she been so close to a Kizok! She'd been warned they were dangerous, fighters, easily angered, ready to go off if disturbed, but he didn't look dangerous. She danced along beside him, keeping her eyes fixed on his brilliant face, waiting for him to share his knowledge of the world he existed in.

Questions seemed to swamp Kaizun as Rendalia just kept blabbering on and on. The Kizok kept his gaze closed as he folded his arms neatly across his chest. He had never personally held a conversation with a Lotukin and dimly he wondered if all of them blabbered on like this. Momentarily his mind wandered from the babbling girl beside him and thoughts came to cloud his mind in things that had to do with his homeland and people.
Snapping back into reality when it seemed Rendalia was no longer talking on he took a slow intake of breath before speaking once more. "I've lost count of the years I have lived. Though I am on my thirteenth century I do know," Way longer than what a normal unmated Kizok would be able to survive. Then again he was no normal Kizok now was he. If Kaizun wasn't mistaken, his age was kept on a personal calender his personal maid kept.
"I know quite a lot of things, Rendalia," He moved onto her next question he had managed to hear during her babble session. Though he wasn't going to go into what. He was old, probably the oldest creature known to Vinix right now. No, there was no probably about it. He had witnessed many wars, leisurely existed through times of peace, and became the Prince of his kind in his mere first century of life.
Then the question popped up about that cursed human again. Why hell did it matter he wondered. "Because the lowlife needed to learn a valuable lesson of just who my kind is," He spoke calmly, simply giving the girl an answer so she wouldn't bring it up again. He stepped through people, ignoring the haughty gazes some gave him from just pushing right pass them, but he paid them no attention. He was ready to go home, to relax in his forest for a few hours before going back to his daily duties as a prince.

He was stern. Not unfriendly, exactly, but while he answered her questions, Rendalia knew not to press the Kizok into detailed responses. He seemed more than opposed to letting her pick apart his brain. She followed him through the crowds of people. Some ogled him with wide eyes. Whether they were full of shock or fear or alarm, Rendalia wasn't sure. She didn't really care. A couple shoved into her, knocking her slightly closer to Kaizun.
She almost felt uncomfortable invading his personal space like that... almost. She tried very desperately to maintain a foot of space between them. She didn't want to upset him. She feared that if she did or said the wrong thing, he'd discard her and continue on his own. She'd follow of course, after a minute. There was no denying the way he had already roped her in with his evasive answers. She wanted to see through his eyes, to take a view on the world entirely seperate from her own.
Rendalia had become far more than intrigued by this point. She hungered, craved to know what he knew. Her sheer desire for his brain seemed to tug her feet merrily along. She couldn't have quit following him, even if she had wanted to. She was drawn to this mysterious creature. He was so solemn, so serious, so... secretive. She reached deep within her own brain, trying desperately to organize the disarray of questions that she knew must be flowing from her own ears by now.
She pranced on, her body turned almost entirely toward Kaizun, her eyes locked on him, taking in everything from his sheer towering height to the tint of his silver blue skin in the bright sun.
"Where are we going?" she inquired. "Are we going to your home? I'll bet it's lovely. Most homes are aren't they? I suppose it would depend on opinion. But any place that's full of love or family must be lovely. Are we going to your village? Is it busy there? Is there a pub? I've never entered Kizok territories before. I've lingered close by... not that i spy, of course not. Im just... curious. You're not answering my questions... oops..." Her voice trailed off when she realized she hadn't actually given him time to answer her questions. She had so many, she was afraid she wouldn't get them all asked before he sent her away. She forced a deep breath into her lungs to silence the inquiries that wanted to pour out of her. Biting her lip, her eyes wide and determined, she waited for him to continue the conversation.

Rendalia had been knocked into, sending her closer to Kaizun and the Kizok Prince found himself baring his fangs at the human's who had quickly rushed on their way. It wasn't that Rendalia had been pushed closer to him that annoyed him, but the filthy waist of flesh that had ran into her. With a frown Kaizun turned his dark gaze back to the path he was walking down. Thoughts crossed his mind and Kaizun began asking himself why he was allowing this Lotukin to blabber on at him and throw questions at him with out snapping at the girl and ditching her that minute.
What ever it was Kaizun could find no annoyance in it. Perhaps all his annoyance had been spent on the humans that surrounded him and there was none left to be thrown at the female Lotukin next to him. She seemed enthralled by him, so intrigued that she looked ready to burst apart with excitement and it made Kaizun wonder why. Perhaps that was why he continued answering her questions to a point.
A delicate brow lifted when she pranced just a tad in front of him, facing him and not paying attention to where she was walking Kaizun couldn't help but think she would eventually fall for walking like that. Then as if Kaizun could have figured the questions had been over for a moment more were shot at him unstop. Vaguely he listened, catching only the ones that seemed to be what she mainly wanted to know and seemed to ignore the babbling that went around the questions.
When she seemed to stop and look at him with wide eyes while biting her bottom lip Kaizun could have sighed. Yes home were lovely, but love and family was an entirely different thing for Kaizun. He had outlived his brother's and his parents. He had slain his brothers because they had been weak and given into the beast within. It was not something he wanted to tread thoughts on. It had been the first time he had ever sobbed hysterically as a grown man and the very reason that fueled his own fight against the beast within and never gave hope of someday finding his life mate.
"Yes, we are heading towards my homelands. Though it will take a few days to reach it from here," He answered solemnly only taking a small glance at her before turning his attention back to a path they would eventually have to step off of if they wished to make a short cut to his home. It didn't take long for the edge of the tournament borders were slowly being approached. Once they got out of this area they only had to cross through a village before it was wilderness from then on. Kaizun wasn't sure if she would bust into more questions, but then again he wouldn't doubt it either at this point.

"Yes, we are heading towards my homelands. Though it will take a few days to reach it from here." Kaizun finally answered. It hadn't exactly been an answer to all of Rendalia's but it satisfied her for the moment. Her step faultered for a small moment when he told her it would take days to get where he was going. Days? She had days to ask him her questions! The realization sent a new wave of excitement bubbling through her and she caught up again quickly, practically hopping with every other step.
She couldn't pick which side of him to walk on. She moved around him, in a circular fashion... never making the full circle, but crossing in front and behind him several times. She didn't stare as much as she had been. She was lost in her own thoughts. It was almost as if she had created an invisible barrier around the Kizok, that solid one foot of space didn't falter after the crowds had thinned. Knowing she had time to ask her questions made Rendalia feel a bit better, less urgent to have her answers.
Her ears pricked to the sounds around her... the breeze, the grass, the soft bell-like twitter of a bird in a tree to the East. Following the lead of the surrounding nature, Rendalia hummed softly to herself, a cheerful tune, full of life. She let her arms move as they may, sometimes swinging freely at her side, or flying freely away from her body as she spun in a dizzying circle here and there. The grass was warm beneath her feet. Her fingers waved to a beat only she could here inside herself.
He was quiet. Rendalia thought it best to let him have his peace. The longer he kept her, the better. Of course she'd have to return to the Lotukin lands eventually but what could a few days hurt? Someone else could look after the animals, afterall, they were all capable. She felt wildly carefree following this stranger into a place so unfamiliar. She wasn't going anywhere, not yet.
For a split second, she thought she heard Kaizun sigh. Listening more intently, she decided it was just a whisper through the trees. Funny, for a brief moment, it actually crossed her mind that he heard her thoughts. Of course that was silly. He would be nothing more than perceptive, if that. She let the heat of the sun whisk her into her own imagination of what she would see upon her entrance to his homelands...
