Akemi grinned happily as he looked out over the flowers. his flowers. The God of Love giggled and layed down in a match of wild daisies. Oh, they were so pretty! The God stretched out comfortably, his brown hair falling out of it's loose hold with the vine and falling around his head like a halo.
The young God giggled again, and shifted slightly, trying to smell more flowers. His low hanging wrap around his waist was dangerously close to falling off or showing more than planned, but it never did. But it did show his delicate hip bones. Akemi picked one flower and set it into his fly away hair, and iggled again. He loved flowers!

Martin watched his brother, face set into an apathetic expression. It was like dangling a rabbit in front of a rabid dog. He wanted to take Akemi right there and then. But, like any brother, Martin was protective of Akemi's innocence. It was a never ending conflict within himself.
Stepping from beneath the tree, Martin seemed to glide over the ground towards the God of Love. His dark hair danced around his blank face as he stopped near Akemi. Looking down at the god, Martin tilted his head to the side. "Akemi, Brother, what are you doing?" he asked, voice as emotionless as usual.

Akemi looked up at the voice. He knew that voice! He grinned happily and jumped to his feet, crashing into the other God in a clinging hug. "Maaaaaaaaaaaartiiiiiiiiiiii!"
The God of Love laughed happily and clungs to his younger brother, his eyes sparkling with mirth. The flower he had just put into his hair was sliding down, and so the God picked it up and put it into Martins long green hair with a grin. "Now you look pretty too Martin!"
The God laughed and just hugged his youngest brother tightly. He hadnt been expecting Martin here, but it was a welcome surprise!

Martin took a few steps back as Akemi crashed into him. It was the only thing he could do on short notice to avoid falling flat on his butt. "Hello to you too, Akemi," he said without emotion, looking down at his older brother. His eyes turned upwards, peering at the flower in his hair. He shrugged. If it made Akemi happy to see him wearing a flower in his hair, then a flower in his hair there would be. "Very pretty, Brother, very pretty." Taking Akemi's arms, Martin slowly disengaged himself from them. By the mother, he was getting hard just looking at the God of Love, yet alone being touched by him.
"Akemi..." he started. It was hard for Martin to express what he wanted to say. After all, he was the God of Apathy. By nature, he shouldn't even feel this way about anyone, yet alone Akemi. "Brother... I want to tell you something."

Akemi peerd up as Martin as he peeled his arms off. He sounded just as emotionless as usual, but the God fo Love was hoping to change that. Grinning, Akemi went down to his knee's in the flowers and peered into them. "Marti! Theres a field mouse with a baby I want you to meet! She's really shy, but the father mouse is out gathering! You should here them squeak together, its beautiful!"
Akemi peered under the flowers but couldnt find the mice. The God of Love peered up and giggled. "I guess she hid because she doesnt know you yet! Oh, but theres a doe who has a fawn I could show you!" The God jumped back up before remembering his brother had said something. He looked over his bare shoulder with a grin. "Oh, you have something to tell me?!"
The God of Love bounced on his toes with joy and looked at his brother.

Martin stood patiently, allowing Akemi to ramble on about his animal friends. He himself couldn't care less about them, though he kept that to himself. The god's mind wondered, his eyes sneaking glances at parts of Akemi's body. It was only when Akemi asked Martin if he wanted to say something that he popped back into focus.
"Hmm?" he asked. "Oh... tell you something? Right!" he said, voice monotonic. Martin took a few steps forward, closing the gap between them. He stood, his front only a fraction of an inch away from Akemi's back. Gently, he placed his hands on Akemi's hips, keeping his tough light. "Akemi..." he started, trying to find the right words. None came. So, Martin decided to show his brother.
"Don't be scared, alright?" he said gently, his voice holding an affectionate tone. It sounded odd for the usually sarcastic god. One hand came up, brushing Akemi's long, brunette hair away from his neck and face. The god of Apathy pressed his lips to the place where the god of Love's shoulder joined his neck, gently kissing the skin. His hands began to move down the outside of Akemi's thighs, his lips moving up near his older brother's ear.
Suddenly, Martin backed off, his hands leaving Akemi like the god was a hotstove. The god of apathy took a few rapid steps back, his eyes staring at his hands in shame. "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." For the first time in his life, Martin blushed.

Akemi looked at Martin quizzically over his shoulder and was about to turn to get a better view when the God set his hands on Ameki's hips. Smiling slightly with confusion, the God of Love opened his mouth, but then closed it again at his brothers words. Dont be scared? Oh, was this a surprise?! The God grinned with joy and clasped his hands over his eyes quickly. Oh, he loved surprises!
The God of Love felt something press into his neck, into the downy softness that threatened to tickle him. Akemi peeked outof his fingers, and peeked downwards and over to see his brother pressing his lips into his neck. Confused, Akemi froze and let his hands down as his brothers hand started to slid down the outside of his thigh, and his lips move up near his throat.
But- This wasnt supposed to happen was it? Akemi had peeked, on occasion, on couples kissing, just as a child peeks at their parents stealing kisses. But it had always been man on woman, not male kissing male. Or at least not that he'd seen. Akemi gave a shakey laugh of confusion and turned around, his hand rubbing his neck where Martin had pressed his lips.
He then remembered seeing some males pecking each other and hugging, and it was brotherly love, he knew. He knew all about love! Akemi giggled. "Oh, you just wanted to show me you love me, right? Thats what the brother fauns do when they leave ways." His expression became slightly panicking. "Wait, you arent going to leave me Martin, are you?!"
Bu the way the God was backing up, and with a....blush..., he sure looked like he was leaving. "No, please dont leave me Marti!"**Akemi was talking about brotherly affection, while Martin was trying to show Akemi how he felt

Martin stared blankly at Akemi. Leaving? Where on Vinix had he gotten that idea? Technically, Martin couldn't leave anyway. Amara would drag him back by an ear if he did. "Akemi... Calm down. I'm not leaving. Why would you think such a thing?" he asked, more withdrawn and apathetic than even he was usually. A hand came to stroke his older brother's head. Sometimes, Martin wondered if Amara had deliberately made him as naive as he was on purpose.
"I'm not going," he said slowly, as if to let it sink into Akemi's mind. He felt really embarrassed now. He had just spilled his greatest secret to Akemi, and the god thought he was showing brotherly love... Martin guessed he'd just have to be a bit more blunt about it. Taking the older god's face in his hands, Martin lifted it so he could look straight into the God of Love's eyes.
"Listen to me, Akemi. I'm going to tell you something very important to me, alright?" He paused for a moment before continuing. "I love you. And not just like brothers love each other. Like how a man and a woman would love each other. Like the Kizoks with their soulmates." The God of Apathy allowed this to sink into his brother's mind. "Like I shouldn't be able to..." he whispered.
Like in the romance novels humans adored, Martin lowered his face to Akemi's, gently pressing his lips against the god's. Praying to their mother, Martin hoped he hadn't committed some immoral act against Akemi. He didn't think he could stand Akemi hating him for the rest of eternity. His tongue reached out from between his lips, stroking Akemi's bottom lip.

Akemi sighed in relief. Marti wasnt leaving! Grinning now, the God of Love saw that the flower in his brothers hair was crooked, and he reached up to fix it, only for his face to be caught gently in the hands of his brothers and lifted up, so that Akemi's eyes were locked with Martins, the God of Apathy's face tilted down just a bit. Huh? Did Martin want to tell him something more?
The God of Love smiled slightly as Martin began, but then his smile melted into one of confusion and shock. Soulmates? Love like a woman and a man?! The God's look turned slightly scared. " Marti, but Im not a fema-."
His brothers lips pressed down on his own, stopping his speech. The God of Love was shocked, and he pulled back as Martin's tongue stroked his lip. His green eyes looked up at Martins, shock and fright in them. "Martin, I dont understand..." He bit his bottom lip slightly, even more confused.

As Akemi pulled away, Martin's eyes filled with hurt. His brother was scared! Frightened and it was all his fault! "Akemi... please... try to understand. Love isn't just for men and women. It can be between two women or between two men too," he said, somewhat frantic now. The god's hands moved to gently take the older god's wrists. "Don't be scared, brother. It's nothing to fear," he said quietly. Argh, what an idiot he was. He should have had Amara with him to help explain.
Pulling Akemi closer, Martin took one of his brother's hands. Placing it over his heart, Martin stared deep into the god of love's eyes. "See, I have a heart too. And it beats like yours, Amara's, the kizoks..." He didn't know how to tell Akemi. How could you convince the god of love himself that gay love was alright? Tears fell for the first time from Martin's eyes, crawling down his cheeks.
